The Northwest R-1 School District’s 36 administrators will receive 4 percent pay increases for the 2025-2026 school year. The administrator salaries will range from $197,636.40 for Superintendent Jennifer Hecktor to $64,346.74 for Amanda Santure, the district’s school aged child care manager.
Those administrator raises are commensurate with the raises for certified staff, including teachers, librarians and counselors, and for classified staff members, such as aides, food service employees, maintenance staff and custodians, school officials said.
The district will spend $208,645.95 more on administrator salaries for next school year, which begins July 1, according to district officials.
“(For the 2024-2025 school year), administrator salaries totaled $3,852,178.95. (Next school year) the administrator salaries are estimated to cost the district a total of $4,060,824.09,” according to a written statement from the school district.
The district will have one more administrator next school year.
“For 2024-25, we had 35 administrators. For 2025-26, we will have 36 administrators due to reopening Cedar Hill Intermediate as an alternative school and adding the coordinator of intervention position,” district officials said.
Some administrative staff will also receive new titles next school year.
“Matthew Guethle, Northwest High School’s current PRIDE Academy teacher, will begin as coordinator of intervention on July 1. Marcie Williamson, the current Northwest Center for Academics and Therapy administrator and process coordinator, will begin as the director of special education, beginning July 1 as well. There are no open administrative positions at this time,” the district reported.
Northwest school officials said the pay increases were approved due to the district’s commitment to hiring, retaining and developing caring and highly qualified staff.
“The 2025-2026 salary recommendations will help address our goal of attracting and retaining high-quality staff members to support student learning,” district officials said.
The Northwest Board of Education voted in February to approve the administrator pay increases.
