BOZEMAN, Mont. - A man was arrested following a SWAT standoff at a residence on Saxon Way on Monday morning after an individual was stabbed, according to the Bozeman Police Department (BPD). 

BPD said that officers responded to a local medical center at around 3:30 a.m. after receiving a report that an adult man had arrived with stab wounds. 

"Through further investigation, officers found the victim had been stabbed by a roommate at a residence in the 5000 block of Saxon Way in Bozeman," BPD said. 

The man is expected to survive, according to police. 

Police, along with the Gallatin County Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) team, responded to the residence where a man had barricaded themselves inside of a bedroom, according to BPD. The man was arrested without further incident at around 8:50 a.m. and was booked into the Gallatin County Detention Center on an attempted homicide charge.

"We are grateful for the assistance of the Gallatin County Sheriff's Office, Montana State University Police Department, Bozeman Fire Department, American Medical Response, Gallatin County 911 and for the patience and cooperation of the residents surrounding this incident," Bozeman Police Deputy Chief Joe Swanson said.
