Phil Amato has won the race for the House District 113 seat.

Phil Amato has won the race for the House District 113 seat, beating Ashley Drury.

Amato will be sworn in to his two-year term in January.

According to complete, but unofficial results reported by the Jefferson County Clerk’s Office, Amato won the race with 7,119 votes, or 55.54 percent of the total vote, to Drury 5,667 votes.

Amato, 72, of Arnold has held the District 113 seat since 2023.

“I am extremely grateful and thankful for the people’s trust in me to try and make a difference in Jefferson County,” he said.

House representatives are paid an annual salary of $41,770 and serve two-year terms.

Amato said he has been known as a problem-solver during his time in Jefferson City.

“I don't argue on the floor with people, and I don't chastise them because I figure wherever they were voted from, the people had faith in them and sent them to Jefferson City,” he said. “I respect everybody, regardless of what side of the aisle they're on.”

Amato won all 11 precincts of his race.

“It just made me feel that the people in my district appreciate what I'm trying to do,” he said.
