Ballot box

After the last day of filings for the April 7 election, Hillsboro R-3, Dunklin R-5 and Fox C-6 school districts have stacked school board contests, with 20 candidates among them signed up to run.

Each school board has two available three-year terms. There are eight candidates for the R-3 board, and six apiece for boards serving R-5 and C-6.
