The Arnold Chamber of Commerce is again asking people to vote for their favorite depiction of a snowman.
More than 20 businesses and organizations are competing in the sixth annual Snowman Decorating Contest, and people may vote for their favorites through Dec. 31 by going to the “2025 Snowman Contest Entries” page on the chamber’s Facebook page. The voting page also has a link to the location of each competing business and organization.
“It gives the chamber an opportunity to give great exposure to local businesses,” said organizer Meredith McCarthy, a chamber board member and manager of the Arnold Branch of the Jefferson County Library, 1701 Missouri State Road.
“We hear from a lot of families that this is something they do annually with their kids or grandkids. They like to go around and find all of the snowmen as a fun family activity.”
McCarthy said the businesses and organizations are competing for one of five prizes, with the top vote-getter to receive a $300 gift card package to area businesses. The second-place prize is a $150 gift card package, and the third-place prize is a $75 gift card package. A $40 gift card will be awarded to two honorable mentions.
Last year, Tim Hollerbach Designs, 1548 Jeffco Blvd., in Arnold won first place.
“People take this game and turn it in particular directions,” McCarthy said of the various snowmen designs. “One of the State Farm agents has a Jake from State Farm cutout as part of the display.”
