Billie R. McCollum, 59, of Pevely was hurt Wednesday afternoon (Oct. 23) in a motorcycle wreck on Hwy. A at Hwy. Z in Mapaville, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 3:28 p.m., McCollum was riding a 2006 Suzuki S50 east on Hwy. A and while trying to make a left turn onto Hwy. Z, he lost control of the motorcycle, and it overturned, the report said.
He was moderately hurt and taken by Joachim-Plattin Ambulance to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County, where he was treated and released, a hospital spokesman said.
He was wearing a helmet, the patrol reported.
The motorcycle had minor damage, the report said.
