A teenager from Hillsboro was injured in a crash Monday, Jan. 29, on Hwy. A at Pioneer Road just east of Hillsboro, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 2:45 p.m., the 17-year-old male was stopped at a stop sign in a northbound 2009 Chevrolet HHR, then reportedly traveled into the path of an eastbound 2015 GMC Yukon driven by Sarah E. Thomas, 39, of Imperial. The GMC struck the front left of the Chevrolet, the report said.
The teen was moderately injured and taken by Valle ambulance to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County.
According to the report, the teenager was not wearing a seat belt, and Thomas was. The GMC was totaled and the Chevrolet was extensively damaged.
