A De Soto man was injured Sunday evening, June 18, in a two-vehicle accident at Hwy. 67 and Long Road south of Olympian Village, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 7:25 p.m., Jamie D. Evans, 32, of De Soto was stopped in a 2016 Chevrolet Cruze at eastbound Long Road before reportedly failing to yield to Desarea L. Allen, 24, of Desloge, who was driving a 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier south on the highway, and the front of the Cavalier struck the front left of the Cruze, the report said.
Evans was moderately injured and taken by personal conveyance to Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City, the report said.
The hospital had no information about Evans, a hospital spokesman said.
According to the report, Allen was wearing a seat belt and Evans was not wearing one.
Both vehicles were extensively damaged, the report said.
