A De Soto man was struck by a tractor-trailer this morning, Jan. 29, on Bonney Lane east of Hwy. H south of Farmington in St. Francois County, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 9 a.m., Eric C. Hammer, 51, crossed Bonney Lane into the path of an eastbound 2015 Freightliner M2 106 driven by Christopher D. Long, 42, of Bonne Terre, the report said.
Hammer was seriously injured and taken by St. Francois County Ambulance to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County where he was listed in satisfactory condition as of this evening, a hospital spokesman said.
According to the report, Long was wearing a seat belt, and the truck was not damaged.
