Roger Dale Mourey, 60, of Arnold died in a crash on Oct. 9 in Butler County, about 3 miles north of Poplar Bluff, officials reported.
The Missouri Highway Patrol no longer publishes names of those involved in accidents. The Butler County Coroner’s Office identified Mourey as the man who died in the accident.
At 5:40 p.m., Mourey was driving south on Hwy. 67 in a 2021 Hyundai Elantra when he traveled off the right side of the road and struck a tree, the Highway Patrol report said.
Mourey was pronounced dead on the scene at 6 p.m. and was transported to the Butler County Morgue, the report said.
According to the report, Mourey was wearing a seat belt, and the vehicle was totaled.
