About 250 people attended the De Soto Chamber of Commerce’s 30th Annual Lifestyle & Home Show on April 18 at De Soto High School.

“While attendance was modest with about only 250 attendees, we are hopeful the event created opportunities that generated valuable leads for businesses, meaningful conversations and helped bring homeowners one step closer to completing long-awaited home improvement projects,” said Sarah Greenlee, the chamber’s office coordinator. “De Soto Chamber of Commerce coordinated a good mix of a variety of local and regional businesses, vendors and community organizations … We were very pleased with the organization and execution of the event. The featured ‘live demo’ topics of planting, fishing lures, kitchen/bath design, chunky blanket and outdoor space design offered entertaining, insightful ideas that gave attendees practical takeaways.”

She said there were about 50 vendors this year. She said kids enjoyed the ServPro home-shaped bounce house.

“The huge silent auction provided something for everyone in the family and raised a little over $2,000 to be used for future community events,” Greenlee said. “Bob Bourbon was the winner of the 1/2 Hog Raffle being processed by Pierce Century Farms.”

She said one of the highlights of the event was a meet and greet with the people behind the popular, local Facebook page, Show Me Adventures, which reviews local restaurants and events around the region. She said the Miras went live, debuting their new logo.

Attendance for the event was down a bit from 2025, when Greenlee estimated about 300 people attended.

This year was the first year the chamber added the word “Lifestyle” to the event. She said the event featured vendors centered around home products, but also on health, wellness, safety, beauty, home decor, financial services, landscaping and volunteer organizations.

“The chamber is currently reviewing the future of the Lifestyle & Home Show but welcomes fresh ideas to boost community participation and attendance,” she said.

The next chamber event will be the annual golf tournament Friday, May 1, at the Terre du Lac Golf Course. The theme, to celebrate America’s 250th birthday, is “Red, White & Blue Classic.”
