The Leader Holiday Market will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 16, at Festus Elementary School, 1500 Mid-Meadow Lane.

The upcoming Leader Holiday Market will give shoppers a chance to tackle some of their holiday shopping, all in one spot.

The Leader Holiday Market will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 16, at Festus Elementary School, 1500 Mid-Meadow Lane. The event will be spread out among the school’s gym, cafeteria and atrium.

Admission and parking are free.

“We are really excited to hold a holiday market this year,” said Katelyn Mary Skaggs, Leader digital marketing manager. “This is not our first time. We used to do a similar holiday market/bazaar event years ago. We stopped them for a while, and we want to bring them back.”

This year’s event will include 50 small business vendors.

“There are so many awesome people making amazing hand-crafted things who don’t have a brick-and-mortar store,” Skaggs said. “We want to be able to highlight them. We will provide an event and a space for them to show off what they have and for the community to get some pretty sweet holiday gifts.

“There will be a ton of variety – permanent jewelry, homemade candles, 3-D printed items, flavored coffee, sugar scrubs, children’s books, hand-crafted vases and more.

“We are excited to be able to help support our even smaller businesses who don’t have 9-5 hours and a storefront.”

Skaggs said shoppers at the event will be able to check several people off their holiday shopping lists, even those who are difficult to shop for or seem to have everything they need or want.

Santa Claus will be there during the entire event to have his pictures taken with shoppers and their children. Kenzie Lynne Photography will take photos and email copies to those who have them taken.

She said a couple of musical acts will play throughout the day.

“We are currently looking for people to play music at the event,” she said.
