A steady stream of visitors came through the Job Fair during last year's event.

Is your business looking for reliable workers, or are you in search of a steady job?

The sixth annual Jefferson County Job Fair aims to connect eager job hunters with area employers.

Leader Publications, the Arnold Chamber of Commerce, the City of Arnold, the Fox C-6 School District, Jefferson College and the Jefferson County Library are teaming up for the Job Fair, which will be held from 2:30-5:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 5, at the Fox C-6 Service Center, 849 Jeffco Blvd., in Arnold.

“Year after year, I hear stories about people getting jobs because of the fair, and it just warms my heart,” said Katelyn Mary Skaggs, digital marketing manager for the Leader. “We will have vendors from all sorts of industries. This is the place to be if you’re looking for anything from an office job to manufacturing work.”

Job seekers will be invited to get free expert resume reviews, free professional photos to update their social media profiles and a chance to win door prizes throughout the fair.

For the first time, a college representative will be available to offer guidance on setting up a professional LinkedIn account to aid in online networking.

“Creating a LinkedIn account is something we have always gotten questions about during the Job Fair,” said Leader publisher Peggy Scott. “In particular, people with mid-level job experience often lack the knowledge to create a digital resume, but they can really benefit from it.”

Employers will be on hand to recruit employees, accept applications and conduct interviews on site.

More information about the event will be published in a special section of the May 23 Eureka paper and the May 30 Jefferson County, West Side and Arnold-Imperial papers.

Spaces for interested businesses are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis, and members of the Arnold Chamber of Commerce receive a $50 discount.

Premier exhibitor spots include a booth near the entrance, a private interview room and more. Indoor and outdoor exhibitor spaces are also available, with Wi-Fi and limited electric access options.

In addition, a portion of every exhibitor package sold benefits the Arnold Chamber of Commerce.

The deadline to reserve space is Friday, May 17. You may register online at myleaderpaper.com/jobs or contact the Leader at 636-931-7560.

Contact the Arnold Chamber of Commerce at 636-296-1910 or director@arnoldchamber.org for information about joining the chamber and receiving your discount for the Job Fair.
