The Hillsboro Horse Show and Fall Festival will be held Saturday, Oct. 12, at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds, 10349 Business 21.
Gates open at 11 a.m., and the horse show starts at noon. The event closes at 6 p.m.
Admission is $5, but children 6 and younger, senior citizens and retired and active military members with a photo ID will be admitted for free.
The horse show will include 29 classes and will be held in the STL Diesel Arena at the Fairgrounds.
Several music acts will perform on the Arnold Ready Mix Patio, including the Hillsboro Rockin’ Hawks, the Hillsboro Treble Makers, Bill Scott, and Russ Wellington and Cody Goggins.
A cornhole tournament will start at 1 p.m. in the RWZ Pavilion. Registration for the tournament is 12:30 p.m.
A fried chicken dinner sponsored by Savannah’s Restaurant & Bar in Cedar Hill will be held during the event.
Other festivities include crafters and other vendors; a pumpkin patch; pony rides; a fall maze; pumpkin bowling; facepainting; a dessert walk; and blacksmith and chainsaw carver demonstrations. Antique tractors and firetrucks will be on display, and FFA & Farm Critters will have goats and other animals at the event.
A silent auction, raffles and drawings will be held, and concessions will be sold.
