Hillsboro High School students will perform six one-act plays on Feb. 27 after the show was postponed due to illnesses.
The Hillsboro High School Facebook page announced the postponement on Jan. 22. The show was scheduled for Jan. 23.
Stephanie Williams, a Hillsboro High English teacher who is overseeing the production, said illnesses in the cast forced the postponement.
“Some students were in four or five of the shows, (and) there was no way to cover all the parts,” she said.
The short plays are primarily comedies and murder mysteries written by Hillsboro High Drama Club students, who will also direct and star in the plays.
Showtime is 7 p.m. at the Hillsboro High School Theatre, 123 Leon Hall Parkway. Admission is free; however, donations will be accepted at the door.
The donations will benefit the Drama Club, which would use the funds to attend the Missouri State Thespian Conference.
