For a second year, Festus Smile Center will offer free dental care for area veterans.
The Veterans Day Free Dental Clinic, which actually takes place two days before the holiday, is scheduled from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday at the Festus Smile Center office, 1373 YMCA Drive, Festus.
Dr. Chris Koechner, owner of the practice, Dr. Michelle Ogonowski and Dr. Tanner Emring will perform the treatments.
Veterans must bring a DD214 form for verification purposes to receive the treatment.
During the first two hours of the event, walk-ins will be served. The rest of the day is reserved for those with appointments. As of Oct. 28, quite a few slots on the schedule remained open, Koechner said.
According to information from the practice, treatments offered will include acute-urgent pain relief, extractions, restorative work, X-rays, prophylaxis, routine maintenance and perio treatment.
