The Fox High School Fall Craft Fair will provide shoppers an opportunity to get a jump on their holiday shopping, especially for Christmas.
Tracy Paul, a Fox High School Parents’ Club member and craft fair organizer, said about 100 vendors are expected to be at the fair that will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2, and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 3.
The fair will be held in the school’s gym and commons area at 715 Jeffco Blvd. in Arnold.
“There will be so many things that can be Christmas gifts,” Paul said. “There will be anything from wood items to art to clothing to holiday candies and cookies. There will be a wide variety of different things, and there will be something for everybody.”
The Parents’ Club holds two craft fairs each year – a fall fair in November and a spring fair in March.
The club uses money from the fairs to fund scholarships awarded for Fox High seniors to continue their education, assist teachers to make purchases for their classrooms and to fund school club activities.
“We feel what we do is really good for the school,” Paul said. “We want to help teachers and clubs if they can’t afford certain things. We also do things for the teachers and staff like on appreciation days we buy cookies, cater lunches and other stuff. I think it helps everyone all around.”
Paul said the fall fair will have approximately 45 vendors who have not participated in past Fox High craft fairs.
“It is super exciting,” she said of the high number of first-time vendors. “It seems like the craft fair grows every year. It just seems like there are more people who want to attend, and we are grateful.”
Paul said even though nearly half of the vendors will be new to Fox High’s fair, there will still be plenty of returning vendors that shoppers look forward to making purchases from each year.
She said some of the popular returning vendors are Resolute Flags, Sugar Loaf Farm and Busy Bill Apiary.
“(Resolute Flags) makes awesome wood products,” she said. “Teresa Seavey (of Sugar Loaf Farm) always has a slew of different things like soaps and freeze-dried candy, and I think she is venturing out to new things.
“I think (Jim Bills of Busy Bill Apiary) has been there selling honey since the craft fair started. I appreciate him every time we see him. We just love him. Everyone knows him and asks, ‘Is the honey guy going to be there.’”
Paul said some vendors will set up outside the gym this year to create more space for those who want to participate in the fair.
“We filled up so fast this time that I had to turn people away,” she said. “I hate doing that. We will try outside as an option this year. We want to try to open the small gym for the spring fair.”
The Fox Parents’ Club plans to hold the spring craft fair on March 8-9, 2025.
