Only a couple of days are left to enter the “Share the Love” photo contest for a chance to win a $200 cash prize.

The contest is being held in conjunction with this year’s Leader Wedding Fair, set for Sunday, Feb. 5, at the Corpus Christi Event Center at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Imperial.

For the contest, Jefferson County and Eureka Leader readers are invited to share a photo about their most meaningful wedding-related experience – anything from how they met to celebrating their golden anniversary and everything in between.

The deadline to submit an entry is 5 p.m. Monday, Jan. 16.

All entries must include your name, phone number and town of residence.

Also include information about who’s in the photo, when and where it was taken and a brief description of what’s happening in the picture and why it’s one of your favorites.

One entry will be drawn at random to win the $200. The winning photo, along with as many others as space permits, will be published in a special section in the Feb. 2 issue of the paper.

There are several options for submitting:

Bring the photo to the Leader office at 503 N. Second in Festus; mail to the newspaper at P.O. Box 159, Festus, 63028; email to news@leaderpublications.biz.

Admission to the Wedding Fair will be $10, with proceeds going to Comtrea’s A Safe Place, a shelter for women who have been victims of domestic abuse, as well as for their children.

At the fair, a wide variety of vendors will be on hand with products and services geared toward those planning a wedding or other celebration, such as venues, music, photography, food, decorations, honeymoon travel and more.

A full schedule of events is being planned for the fair:

■ The first 50 brides in the door will receive a special “goodie bag.”

■ Vivian James American Beauty salon in Crystal City will offer tutorials on styles and tips on the best ways to show off your hair on your big day. It also will offer a makeup tutorial and will showcase styles and trends in makeup.

■ Launch Pointe Dance Studio will offer free lessons.

■ The Bridal Collection in Arnold will hold a fashion show, with bridal gowns, bridesmaid dresses and other wedding formalwear.

Spaces are still available for vendors to participate in the fair. For more information, call the Leader office at 636-931-7560.
