Young Athlete and Sibshop Program, 5:30-6:30 p.m., Jefferson County YMCA, 1303 YMCA Drive, Festus. Every Friday through Aug. 15. The Special Olympics Young Athletes is a free early childhood play program for children with and without intellectual disabilities, ages 2 to 7 years old. The program introduces basic sport skills, such as running, kicking and throwing. Sibshops provide support and guidance to siblings of children with special medical or developmental needs. Siblings of all ages are encouraged to share challenges and celebrate the joys with brothers and sisters in similar situations. Play, eat snacks and learn. House Springs Lions Cruisin’ for Kids Sight Poker Ride, 10 a.m. Hot Spot Bar, 2911 High Ridge Blvd., High Ridge. Registration: 10 a.m. at Hot Spot Bar, leave at 11 a.m. Entry fee: $25 per rider. The first 50 get a T-shirt. Biscuits and gravy breakfast, dinner and a poker hand are included in the registration fee. Additional poker hands are $5 each. 50/50 raffles throughout the ride.
