The Big River VFW Post 5331 in Cedar Hill will hold its Spring Craft Fair from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 23, at the post, 1 Lynn Lane.
“We have about 60 vendors scheduled to show up, and we’re going to have some set up inside the hall, outside in the pavilion, and some set up in the grass,” post commander Eva Maloney said. “Along with that, we have a Girl Scout troop that is going to come out and sell some of their cookies.”
Maloney said it’s free to attend the fair.
The Easter bunny will be at the fair from noon to 3 p.m. for photos, which costs $10, she said.
“We’ve got some quilting, glassblowing, someone who makes homemade fresh bread,” Maloney said. “Of course, we’ve got Avon and Paparazzi (vendors), but what we’re focusing on more is local, handmade, homemade goods.”
The VFW will sell hot dogs and nachos, and the proceeds will support annual VFW events, such as the Fourth of July fireworks show, she said.
“Just come out and support the local crafters and see what they’ve made for Easter,” Maloney said. “It’s exciting to think about spring and what new opportunities there are.”
