Those who attend the Arnold Senior Expo, set for Wednesday, Oct. 5, will have the opportunity to enter a drawing for a getaway close to home.

One expo attendee’s name will be drawn at random for the grand prize package which includes a two-night stay for two at the luxury French-inspired Tiny Homes at Baetje Farms in Ste Genevieve County.

The prize package, valued at $1,000, also includes a welcome charcuterie board; a tour of the Baetje Farms creamery and a taste of their award-winning goat cheeses; a tour of the Charleville Brewery & Winery, with a private tasting; a set of Charleville glassware and two six-packs from Charleville.

The package also includes two dinners at the Dew Drop Inn and two breakfasts at The Kozy, both in Bloomsdale.

“This will be a chance for the lucky winner to have a relaxing, luxurious mini-vacation without having to drive a long way,” Leader sales associate Andrea Chambers said. “It could be very romantic.”

The expo, sponsored by Grand Times, Leader Publications’ magazine for seniors, will be held from 8 a.m. to noon at the Arnold Recreation Center, 1695 Missouri State Road.

It will feature more than 30 vendors offering products and services of interest to those 50 and older, as well as guest speakers, live music, free bingo and free coffee and doughnuts.

Attendees may enter the drawing for the grand prize at the Leader Publications booth. The attendee must be present for the drawing to win.

A special section with detailed information about the expo will appear in the Sept. 29 issue of the Leader. The special section also will include information about the “Way Back When” photo contest held in conjunction with the expo, with the winning photos and as many other submitted photos as space allows.

Photos also will be posted on the Leader website at myleaderpaper.com.
