Those who want to participate in the annual Arnold Days Parade will need to register by Wednesday, Sept. 16.
The parade’s entry fee is $45, and applications are available on the city’s website, arnoldmo.org.
The parade will be held on the final day of the Arnold Days festival, which will be held Friday through Sunday, Sept. 18-20, at Arnold City Park on Bradley Beach Road off Jeffco Boulevard near the Meramec River.
The parade will begin at 1 p.m. Sept. 20 at the Fox C-6 Service Center, 849 Jeffco Blvd. It will proceed north on Jeffco Boulevard and end at Arnold City Park.
This year’s parade theme is “Celebrating 250 Years of Freedom.” Participants are encouraged to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the United States.
Participants will compete for the best float trophy, which will be awarded at about 4 p.m. Sept. 20 at the main stage on the fairgrounds.

The city is selling advance carnival ride tickets at a discounted price. The tickets may be purchased for $3 each at the Arnold Recreation Center, 1695 Missouri State Road, until 4 p.m. Sept. 18.
Tickets will cost $4 each during the festival.
Carnival rides will operate from 5-10:30 p.m. Sept. 18; noon to 10:30 p.m. Sept. 19; and noon to 8 p.m. Sept. 20. Each ride requires a single ticket.
Carnival ride armbands, which allow the wearer unlimited rides from 1-4 p.m. Sept. 19, will be available that day for $25 each.
