Homemade take home dinners are a success for LaLa’s Roast and Bistro owner Leigha Gaston said.
LaLa’s Roast and Bistro is located at 10632 Business 21 in Hillsboro in the old bank building.
Gaston said the take home dinners started after customer requests for later dinner options. Originally, the dinners were served hot at the restaurant.
“We realized not everyone wants to eat at 5 o clock” Gaston said. “We started the take and bake after asking our customers what they would prefer.”
The “take-and-bake” dinner options are available Tuesday through Friday every week. Each week’s menus are announced on the LaLa’s Roast and Bistro on Sunday nights.
Preorders for the week are available as soon as the meals are announced. Preorders can be made online or over the phone.
Take home dinners are available through pick up starting at 10 a.m. They can be picked up inside or in the drive through.
Take home dinner offerings change each week. “We never have the same meal twice in a row,” Gaston said.
All of the take-and-bake meals are made from scratch in the restaurant.
“This is food that I would make at home, I’m just making it for more people now,” Gaston said.
Gaston said she often takes the leftovers from the day home to feed her own family.
LaLa’s Roast and Bistro offers a variety of other food and drink options as well.
They also offer sandwiches, chips and drinks for lunch and bakery items for breakfast. The bistro also has a full espresso bar.
“We have as many drinks as you can think of,” Gaston said.
