It is not unusual for Arlie, a 5-year-old female Shiba Inu/Pomeranian mix, to get in the position pictured, said owner Karent Vanhoogstraat of Arnold.
“She does this all the time,” Vanhoogstraat said. “Sometimes, she hides in the corner, then when you try to pick her up, she stands up on her back legs.”
There are sometimes when Arlie craves attention, but not always, Vanhoogstraat said.
“Sometimes Arlie wants attention,” she said. “Sometimes she wants to be left alone.”
Arlie usually displays a friendly personality, she said.
“She’s actually rather sweet,” Vanhoogstraat said.
