The Frankie Gianino’s restaurant at 1209 Main St. in Imperial has been a part of the Jefferson County community for 18 years.

Tony Gianino, owner of the Gianino Family Restaurants, said he is proud the restaurant has remained a popular dining spot over the years, adding that the restaurant’s family-friendly atmosphere and menu appeal to many people.

“You can come in on date night,” Gianino said. “You can come in on family night. You can come in with the kids. You can come in with the grandparents.”

Gianino said the restaurant is a perfect place to celebrate birthdays and other occasions and even offers a private dining room that seats up to 60 people for special events.

“We also offer full-service catering for parties and events,” he said.

Gianino said the restaurant offers great Italian food with large portions.

“(We have) a great house salad that you can’t get anywhere else,” he said.

The salad is a blend of lettuce, Provel cheese, mushrooms, pimentos, green onions and “our creamy house dressing” that goes back 50 years from when the first Gianino’s restaurant opened on Telegraph Road.

“(The dressing) is definitely unique,” he said. “We’re very, very proud of it. A lot of work goes into making the dressing. It’s not easy. I’m happy that people love it. We sell a lot of them every week.”

Frankie Gianino’s offers happy hour drink specials and often has live music on the patio on weekends.
