Chuck Kimball was a Chuck’s Hot Chicken customer before he became an owner.
Kimball, who operates the Arnold franchise that will be celebrating its second anniversary in October, said the restaurant is successful because it offers consistent service and a variety of spice levels.
The restaurant, which is located at 231 Arnold Crossroads Center, is new to the area, but it has been rated highly among customers, Kimball said.
“We’re one of the highest rated on Door Dash,” Kimball said. “I’m proud of that number because that means we’re doing our job correctly.”
He attributes this popularity to service that is “fast and friendly.”
“I have good people who work for me, and I want to make sure everyone knows that,” Kimball said.
Kimball has been a fan of Chuck’s Hot Chicken for many years.
“I was a patron of Chuck’s for years before (buying a franchise),” Kimball said. “I’m a spice head. Level 5 all day.”
There are six spice levels to choose from at Chuck’s Hot Chicken for sandwiches, chicken strips and wings.
A spice level one is mild and a spice level six is extremely spicy. “Commercially you can’t purchase anything hotter than this thing,” Kimball said.
Kimball worked for restaurants in the Arnold area before opening the Chuck’s Hot Chicken location.
“I have spent a lot of time in Arnold over 20 years,” Kimball said. “I like the community I like the people, and when we were looking for places, this was spot number one.”
Kimball stays active in the community by going to local businesses to drop off menus and free samples.
“This has been really fun getting to know people in the community,” Kimball said. “Just making connections with other small businesses here in Arnold makes it feel less like an island.”
