Cafe Smok N Pi, 12636 Hwy. 21, in De Soto offers a family-friendly environment where customers may enjoy pizza, barbeque and more, said Bill Cieslinski, who co-owns the business with his wife, Christina Cieslinski, and Matt and Sue Schweiss.

The restaurant opened in February 2020 with counter service but now has servers who take orders and deliver food to tables.

Cieslinski said Café Smok N Pi’s loyal employees and customers helped the business make it through the COVID-19 pandemic – a difficult time for many restaurants.

He said the restaurant has seen many improvements over the past five years.

“The Cieslinski and Schweiss families continue to invest in making the Café Smok N Pi the place to go for great food, live music and great atmosphere,” he said. “We remodeled the dining room, installed a new full-service bar, built a new patio and put a 1,000-square-foot kitchen expansion in.”

Cieslinski said the restaurant’s recipes come from their St. Louis County location, Café Telegraph on Telegraph Road, which has been in business for 14 years.

“Our new menu is now offering steaks, toasted ravioli, hand patty burgers, 3-pound pork steaks, 25-ounce pork steaks, great brisket and always the best ribs anywhere,” he said. “We pride ourselves on great barbecue, homemade sauces and dressing. Our skilled chefs and bartenders will make your visit a great one.”

Café Smok N Pi offers live music from 6-9 p.m. on Friday and Saturdays. It also offers a Happy Hour from 3-6 p.m. on Tuesday through Friday when all beverages are 50 cents off.

Business hours are 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Tuesday through Thursday, from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday.
