Steve Bahn of Bahn Realty in St. Louis said a piece of land in the Festus Commerce & Business Center development on the southern end of Shapiro Drive is “under contract” to the Texas Roadhouse restaurant company.
In addition, Bahn Realty has a map on its website that shows a Texas Roadhouse restaurant coming to the planned-unit development in Festus, which also houses a KFC restaurant and a Planet Fitness among other businesses.
However, Bahn said today (Jan. 18) that the map merely shows the Texas Roadhouse company is interested in the development.
“There’s been no formal announcement, but they’re looking into the site,” Bahn said. “They’re looking to be in Festus.”
Texas Roadhouse spokeswoman Amanda Norton confirmed the company is interested in the development, but she said Monday that no final decision has been made.
“We’re still investigating – dotting our I’s and crossing our T’s,” she said in an email.
Festus city officials said they are aware of a Texas Roadhouse restaurant proposed for the site but have not received any documentation from the company.
The Festus Commerce & Business Center, under development by Larry Goodwin, sits on land along Interstate 55, south of Highway A.
