A Qdoba Mexican Eats restaurant is scheduled to open Monday, Aug. 5, at 1300A Veterans Blvd. (Hwy. A) in the space in the Festus Pointe retail complex that used to house a Cecil Whittaker’s restaurant.
Those behind the new Qdoba said they’re sure the restaurant will be a hit in Festus.
“We just know the community will embrace it,” said Amy Willsey, the company’s regional catering sales manager. “We like to make the world a more flavorful place.”
She said the first 100 customers in line on Aug. 5 will win free food from the restaurant for a year.
“They’ll receive a free entree once per month for the year,” Willsey said.
The Festus Qdoba space includes about 2,400 square feet. It also has patio seating.
Willsey said management has already hired its employees.
“We’ve hired about 40 people,” Willsey said. “We’re currently fully staffed, but we’re also actively interviewing.”
Hours of operation will be 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday.
According to information supplied by Willsey, Qdoba is a “fast-casual Mexican restaurant.”
Its menu includes burritos, bowls, tacos, quesadillas, nachos and salads. The Festus location will offer ordering and catering through its website at qdoba.com or through the Qdoba app.
The Festus Qdoba will be No. 100 in the North Fork Fresh Mex LLC, the chain’s largest franchise group. The overall chain has more than 740 locations in the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico.
