A 7 Brew Drive Thru Coffee site under construction at 606 S. Truman Blvd. in Festus is expected to open in August, said Rem Eiler, director of development for a franchise group led by Brandon Sebald of Arkansas.
Barring any unforeseen circumstances, the site will open for business on Aug. 18, with a grand opening celebration Aug. 23, he said.
“We officially open Aug. 18, but will have our big grand opening Saturday, Aug. 23,” he said. “We’ll have a DJ. With every large drink, you get a T-shirt, while supplies last.”
Eiler said the shell of the structure was constructed elsewhere and set in place the week of July 7.
“It’s pretty cool to see,” Eiler said of the process. “They bring in the building and then put it in place with a crane.”
At present, there are no 7 Brew Drive Thru Coffee locations in Jefferson County, but another one is coming to Arnold, Eiler said, adding that it is “too early” to offer any other information about the Arnold location.
“Festus will be our 55th location in the (Sebald group) franchise,” he said. “Festus is just a good fit for us. It’s a growing area.”
The Sebald franchise group has sites in Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Arkansas, Texas, Mississippi and Louisiana, Eiler reported.
The 7 Brew Drive Thru Coffee website says the overall company has 433 “stands.”
According to information supplied by the franchise, the Festus location is a 510-square-foot building, and Sebald’s franchise group owns the property where it sits. The coffee shop will offer a walk-up window, along with its drive-thru.
Eiler said 7 Brew Drive Thru Coffee offers thousands of variations on its array of coffees and other drinks.
“I think something great is just about everything on the menu is customizable to the customer,” he said. “There are more than 20,000 different options that we can make at any of our stands.”
The 7 Brew Drive Thru Coffee online menu lists a wide variety of hot and cold coffee drinks, as well as energy drinks, lemonades and teas, smoothies, shakes and fizz drinks and other beverages.
In addition to customizing its drinks, 7 Brew Drive Thru Coffee is known for its service, Eiler said.
“The kindness and joy we bring is contagious,” he said. “You’ll come for the coffee and come back for the people.”
He said the business owners have begun hiring staff for the location.
“We need to employ 60 brew crew members,” Eiler said.
The site’s hours of operation will be 5:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sundays through Thursdays and 5:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays.
