■ The annual county Black History Luncheon drew a crowd of 250 and raised $2,000 for scholarships and other charitable causes. Crystal City native Roger CayCe spoke. ■ A Jefferson County jury found Michael Odis Dill, 32, of High Ridge guilty of six felony counts of child sexual abuse against two young sisters in 2011. The jurors recommended a sentence of 15 years on each count. (Arnold-Imperial Leader, Jefferson County Leader).
■ Arnold City Councilman Ken Moss has filed a lawsuit against four city officials, the third legal action in an ongoing legal skirmish among Arnold city officials. In his suit, he claims city attorney malpractice, defamation and civil conspiracy, and is seeking damages. (Arnold-Imperial Leader).
■ Principals are retiring at two south Jefferson County high schools: Karen Biehle at Festus High and Mark Ruark at Jefferson High. David Haug is being promoted to replace Ruark, but Biehle's replacement has not been named. (Jefferson County Leader).
■ Rodney D. Mullins is asking for write-in votes to challenge Arnold Ward 3 Councilman Phil Amato in the April 2 election. (Arnold-Imperial Leader).
■ The De Soto School District sent a letter to parents telling them of a BB gun and BBs found in a restroom at Athena Elementary School. (Jefferson County Leader).
