The junior shortstop had six hits, including two doubles, and drove in five runs while scoring six himself to help Hillsboro (17-4) defeat Windsor 7-3 and 15-5 and clinch the Jefferson County Activities Association large-schools championship May 4-5. He also pitched the last four innings of the first game, at Windsor, allowing only one run on three hits while striking out three. He is batting .312 and leads the Hawks – who have won seven in a row – with 12 extra-base hits, including 10 doubles.
