Rosetta M. Monroe, 95, of Arnold died Nov. 9, 2019. Mrs. Monroe was an avid quilter and gardener who enjoyed watching her grandchildren, soap operas and Saturday breakfasts at Denny’s and shopping trips with her daughters. She was born Feb. 7, 1924, in Vineland.
She is survived by two daughters: Terry (Michael) Joyner and Cathy (Jerry) Graves; two sisters: Marie Rawson and Virginia Greenhill; a brother: Charles “Dutch” Courtway; four grandchildren: Beverly (Jimmy) Petty, Richard (Angela) Barnwell, Kristen (the late Brad) Marquardt and Shannon Graves; five great-grandchildren: Christopher, Brandon and Brianna Petty and Mason and Madelyn Marquardt; and a great-great-grandson: Jasper Petty.
Visitation will be from 10:45 a.m. to noon Thursday, Nov. 14, at Heiligtag-Lang-Fendler Funeral Home, 1081 Jeffco Blvd., in Arnold, followed immediately by funeral services. Burial will be in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Memorials may be made to Open Door Animal Sanctuary or the Humane Society. Arrangements are under the direction of Heiligtag-Lang-Fendler Funeral Home.
