Shockley, Patrick

Patrick Michael Shockley, 63, of Festus died Feb. 15, 2025, at his home. Known as a family man, Mr. Shockley played the role of father, mentor, coach and “Paw” to many. He also often went out of his way to lend a hand to others, even if they were strangers. He was a retired pipefitter with the Plumber and Pipefitters Union Local 562 and a member of Our Lady Catholic Church in Festus. He enjoyed traveling with his wife, Lisa, playing golf with his sons and friends, exercising and being outdoors. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed the annual trip to Jupiter, Fla., for Cardinals Spring Training with Lisa. Born July 9, 1961, in Festus, he was the son of JoAnn (Sadorf) Keown of Pevely and the late Gerald Norman Shockley Sr.

In addition to this mother, he is survived by his wife of 38 years: Lisa (Rundel) Shockley, whom he married on Oct. 11, 1986; three sons: Nathan Shockley of Festus, Austin (Jordan) Shockley of St. Peters and Jordan Shockley of St. Louis; four grandchildren: Jaxon Parker Shockley, Easton Michael Shockley, Madden Patrick Shockley and Memphis Alexander Shockley; a brother: Gerald Shockley Jr. of Affton; and a sister: Tina Shockley of Affton.

He was preceded in death by a sister: Barbara Shockley.

A memorial gathering is scheduled from noon until a memorial service at 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 22, at Vinyard Funeral Home, 616 W. Main St., in Festus. Inurnment will be held at a later date in Peaceful Ridge Columbarium in De Soto. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
