Nancy Jane Moore, 82, of Hillsboro died Oct. 7, 2019, at Big River Nursing Home in Cedar Hill. Mrs. Mrs. Moore was a member of Sandy Baptist Church of Hillsboro since 1961, and she was known as the caretaker of her neighborhood. Born Nov. 24, 1936, in Pocahontas, Ark., she was the daughter of the late Effie Loraine (Parks) and Radis Schwinegruber.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Horace "Lavern" Moore.
She is survived by three sons: Michael (Sue) Moore of Westfield, Ind., Terry (Dina) Moore of High Ridge and Jody (Andrea) Moore of Hillsboro; two daughters: Karen (Gale) Cox of Hermann and Kelly (Andy) Womack of De Soto; a brother: Joe (Carole) Reid of Fenton; 14 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and many other family members and friends.
She also was preceded in death by a sister: Patsy (the late Vernon) Vineyard; and a brother: James O. Reid.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the funeral services at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 22, at Sandy Baptist Church, 9331 Sandy Church Road, in Hillsboro, officiated by the Rev. Jason Sparks. Burial will be in Sandy Baptist Cemetery in Hillsboro. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Sandy Baptist Church, the Salvation Army or the American Parkinson Disease Foundation. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
