Michael William Meyer, 66, Cedar Hill

Michael William Meyer, 66, of Cedar Hill died July 31, 2021, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. Mr. Meyer retired from Rockwood Pigments in Lemay where he worked for 42 years as a machine operator and maintenance mechanic. He loved spending time with his family, and he enjoyed fishing and spending time at the lake, as well as hunting and barbecuing. He will be remembered for his kindness and honesty. Born May 18, 1955, he was the son of Margaret “Sprock” and the late Lester Meyer.

He is survived by his fiancee of 30 years: Brenda “Farrar” Worley; a son: Michael Meyer Jr.; three daughters: Sarah (Clinton) Boyd, Katie Meyer and Amanda “Nolan” Procknal; six grandchildren: Allyson, Everly, Cameron, Brandon, Nolan and Gavin; three siblings: JoAnn (Kenneth) Breher, Darrell Meyer and Keith (Ann) Meyer; and many other family members and friends.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today (Aug. 5) at Chapel Hill Mortuary, 6300 Hwy. 30, in Cedar Hill. A service will be at 10 a.m. Friday (Aug. 6) at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, Tenn., 38148-0412. Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel Hill Mortuary.
