Margene Wampler, 89, of House Springs died Jan. 12, 2020, at Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County. Mrs. Wampler was a homemaker. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Arnold. Born April, 9, 1930, in Orlando, Fla., she was the daughter of the late James and Mary (Harvey) Hudnall.
She is survived by her husband: Darrell Wampler; three sons: Keith McDaniel of Arnold, Darrell Wampler Jr. of Fenton and Blaine Wampler of House Springs; three daughters: Tina DeNatale of Arnold, Debbie Wampler of O’Fallon and Tammy Wampler of Columbia, Ill.; 13 grandchildren: Britt McDaniel, Lindsay Simler, Jack Wampler, Zachariah Bell, Sara McLeod, Josh Wampler, Kyle Wampler, Haley Wampler, Shawn Peters, Troy Peters, John Peters, Whitney Patrick and Sara Stacy; 16 great-grandchildren: Hadden Bell, Devon Polk, Sophia Jacoby, Cailey McLeod, Colin McLeod, Chloe McLeod, Serene Wampler, Ariel Wampler, Blaine Wampler, Brenley Wampler, Brooklyn Bailey, Evan Peters, Evey Simler, Kai Simler, Aiden Wampler and Jack Wampler Jr.; two brothers: Harvey Hudnall and Lester Hudnall; and a sister: Colleen Hudnalll Douville.
She was preceded in death by a grandson: Timothy McDaniel; and a great-granddaughter: Isabella Wampler.
Visitation is from 4-8 p.m. today, Jan. 15, at Kutis Funeral Home, 5255 Lemay Ferry Road, in south St. Louis County. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 16, at the First Baptist Church of Arnold, 2012 Missouri State Road, officiated by the Rev. Kenny Qualls. Burial will be in Shepherd Hills Cemetery in Barnhart. Arrangements are under the direction of Kutis Funeral Home.
