Lindell Gale Parmeley, 75, of Cedar Hill died Feb. 13, 2020, at Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County. Mr. Parmeley worked for Chrysler for 42 years until his retirement, and he was a member of the United Auto Workers Local 36. He enjoyed attending sprint car races with his family and was very close to his granddaughter. He was known for his easygoing spirit and sense of humor.
Born Sept. 20, 1944, in Bonne Terre, he was the son of the late Fred Cyrus and Mary Louise (Hochstatter) Parmeley.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years: Judy (Hamor) Parmeley; a son: Brent (Laura) Parmeley; a granddaughter: Hannah Parmeley; three siblings: Phyllis (Gary) Mason, Norma Ruthe (Ron) Fields and Mickey (Dan) Chorny; and four sisters-in-law: Joyce (Laurance) Smith, Alice (John) Bader, Bonnie (Rick) Cowley and Joanne Henderson.
He was preceded in death by three brothers-in-law: Homer Henderson, Donald (Shirley) Henderson and Jim Henderson.
Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 16, at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home, 1116 N. Desloge Dr., in Desloge. Visitation will resume at 8 a.m. until the funeral services at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 17, at the funeral home, officiated by Pastor Ron Fields. Burial will be in St. Francois Memorial Park in Bonne Terre. Memorials may be made to Stray Rescue of St. Louis. Arrangements are under the direction of C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home.
