Kadin Lee “Primo” Roberts-Day, 15, of Joplin died Sept. 4, 2019, of a sudden illness at Mercy Hospital Joplin. Mr. Roberts-Day, who formerly lived in the Festus and Herculaneum areas, was a sophomore at Joplin High School. He enjoyed playing on the school’s football team and throwing discus and shot put for the track team. He enjoyed telling funny stories, listening to music and eating sweets, and he loved spending time with friends and family.
Born Oct. 1, 2003, in Crystal City, he was the son of Lashonda (Brent Redmon) Roberts of Joplin and Kacy (Christie Ashabranner) Day of Herculaneum. He also is survived by two brothers: Daquis Roberts of Joplin and twin Kaian Roberts-Day of Joplin; two sisters: Alexia Roberts of the United Kingdom and Kayla Roberts-Day of Joplin; a grandmother: Jacqueline (James) Day-Harris of St. Louis; a grandfather: Alfred (Andrea) Henderson of Joplin; an aunt: Alisha Roberts of St. Louis; an uncle: Kevin Day of St. Louis; a nephew: Akai Roberts of Joplin; and a niece: Remington Beard of Joplin.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the funeral services at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, at Mahn Twin City Chapel, 515 Collins, in Festus. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Crystal City. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Funeral Home in Festus.
