Ms. Frey was born in April 1946, in Joplin, the daughter of the late Beulah St. Clair-Chinn. A licensed broker for 45 years, she was the branch manager for the Coldwell Banker Gundaker Hillsboro office until 2008 and associated with Berkshire Hathaway Alliance in Festus at the time of her death. She was a member of the St. Louis Board of Realtors, Hillsboro Chamber of Commerce, S.A.V.E (Sheriffs Alumni Volunteer Echelon) and a past member of the Hillsboro Rotary Club and R.E.S.A. She also served on the Hillsboro Police Personnel Board, the Hillsboro Planning and Zoning Commission and the Hwy 21 Task Force. She was a member of the Glade Garden Club and the Kress Nature Preserve, and became a Master Gardner in 2016.
She is survived by two sons: Edward Thompson II of Maryland Heights and Michael Thompson of St. Charles; two grandchildren: Mia Mae Thompson and Michael Thompson II; two sisters-in-law: Nancy St. Clair of Joplin and Anita St. Clair of Bolivar; a niece: Suzan St. (Mark) Clair-Mc Pherson of Joplin; two nephews: Gary St. Clair of Bolivar and Steven (Mindy) St. Clair of Joplin; four great-nieces: Rachel St. Clair, Hannah (Wes) Schemmer, Claire Mc Pherson and Isabella St. Clair; five great-nephews: Robert St. Clair Jr., Naboth (Jennifer) St. Clair, Caleb (LJ) St. Clair, Ryun St. Clair and Devin St. Clair; five great-great nephews: Elijah, Urahia, Kason, Gage and Preston; and seven great-great nieces: Nadine, Elisabeth, Hadassah, Bethany, Adrianna, Keziah and Micah.
She was preceded in death by two brothers: Robert St. Clair and Warren St. Clair; a nephew: Robert St. Clair II; and three cousins: Terry Darby, Jerry Darby and Kenneth Darby.
A funeral service was held Aug. 10 at the Robert D. Brown Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Burial was in the Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery, next to her best friend and beloved mother. Memorials may be made to the Neosho Shriners Children’s Travel Fund or the Kress Nature Preserve. Arrangements were under the direction of Robert D. Brown Funeral Home.
