Joshua Anthony Hawks, 20, of House Springs died Jan. 20, 2020, at Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County. Mr. Hawks worked in the lawn and landscaping industry at PDS and then TurfOne. He was a hard worker, and he enjoyed fishing and kayaking with his cousin Sam, and friends. He also enjoyed playing Xbox Live with his brother and others. He was proud of his truck and liked spending time with his dogs, Sadie and Buttercup. He was known for his compassion and chose to be an organ and tissue donor.
Born June 12, 1999, in St. Louis, he was the son of Tammy (Hart) and Tony Hawks.
He also is survived by his brother, Brendon Michael Hawks; five grandparents: Gary and Deb Hart of St. Clair, Janet (Cox) Morris and Alex Delbert of Washington, Mo., and Cheryl (Pinson) Hawks of Warsaw; several aunts and uncles: Danny, Scott, Krista and Patty Hawks, and Korey and Anna Hart; and 11 cousins: Sam and Claire Hawks, Gina, Joe, Jake, Justin and Abby Tharp, and Sylvia, Elsie, Forrest and Tia Hart; and many other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by a grandfather: Michael Hawks; an aunt: Jean Baker; and a cousin: Jenny Baker.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until the memorial service at 6 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 25, at Chapel Hill Mortuary, 6300 Hwy. 30, in Cedar Hill. Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel Hill Mortuary.
