Jeffrey Wayne Cresswell, 50, of Hillsboro died Aug. 2, 2019, at his home. Mr. Cresswell was a maintenance mechanic. He served in the U.S. Army as a power generator equipment repairman from 1987-1992 in the 101st Airborne, 82nd Air Assault, and the 97th Sig Battalion. Born Aug. 15, 1968, at the Naval Air Station in Jacksonville, Fla., he was the son of Ronald “Moe” Cresswell and the late Linda Boyer, and the stepson of Rick Boyer and the late Judith Cresswell.
In addition to his father and stepfather, he is survived by four children: Allyson (Zach) Spring, Travis Cresswell, Beth Cresswell and Samuel Cresswell; four siblings: Jeremy Cresswell, Dan (Holly) Gibson, Tammy (Tim) Siekmann and Kathy (Glen Stallings) Gibson; two stepsiblings: Heather (Ben) Langston and Jarrod Boyer; and three grandchildren: Gavin Stillman, Gavin Spring and Camden Jeude.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Gilbert and Geraldine Cresswell and Homer and Juanita Zoph; and a cousin: Patty Berry-Rhodes.
Visitation is scheduled from 6-9 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 8, at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, 220 N. Main St., in De Soto. Private services and burial will be in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Memorials may be made to Mission 22, 1800 Blankenship Rd., Ste. 128, West Linn, OR 97068.
