Janet Sue Nance, 67, of De Soto died Aug. 1, 2019, at her home. Mrs. Nance was the retired head custodian at Sunrise School. She enjoyed puzzles and crosswords and loved to take care of and spend time with her family. She was the daughter of the late Charles and Clara French. She was preceded in death by her husband: Alvin Nance.
She is survived by two sons: Thomas Allen (Wendy) Harris of Festus and Gerald Alan (Laura) Harris of De Soto; four daughters: Terri Lee Harris of De Soto, Becky Nance-Angeli of Springfield, Kim (Rick) McAllister of Springfield and Lisa Nance of Springfield; three brothers: Jack (Joyce) French of St. Peters, John (Ali) French of Springfield and Stephen (Sandy) French of Palm Harbor, Fla.; two sisters: Judy McCay of Omaha, Neb., and Terri Irene (Chris Kientzel) French of Pevely; 10 grandchildren: Justin, Emma, Tyler (Paige), Dylan, Autumn, Connor, Ashley (Eric), Allison, Drew and Tia; and three great-grandchildren: Judah, Ellie and Perry.
She was preceded in death by a daughter: Theresa Lynn Harris.
A funeral service was held Aug. 5 at Mahn Funeral Home in De Soto. Memorials may be made to the Adopt-an-Angel Program. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Funeral Home.
