Jacqueline Rice, 77, of De Soto died Nov. 26, 2019, at her home in De Soto. Mrs. Rice retired as an administrative assistant at Washington County Memorial Hospital. She was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in De Soto. Born Aug. 13, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Maude (Coffman) and Eugene Farrell.
She is survived by her husband: Joy V. Rice of De Soto; a daughter: Laurie (Samuel Sr.) Simon of St. Louis; two sons: Joseph (Patti) Rice of De Soto; Michael (Linda) Rice of St. Louis; a brother: Robert Farrell of St. Louis; seven grandchildren: Richard (Kelly) Estopare, Samuel Simon Jr., John Simon, Elaina Simon, Zach Rice, Lance Rice and Nicola Byrne; and two great-grandchildren: Scarlet “Lettie” Estopare and Savannah Estopare.
She was preceded in death by two sisters and brothers-in-law: Laura Jeanne (Don) Glidewell and Patricia (Roy) Wallace; and two brothers and sisters-in-law: Theodore (Mary Ann) Farrell and Edward (Carolyn) Farrell.
Visitation will be 2-6 p.m. Dec. 1 at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, 220 N. Main, De Soto, and a funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Dec. 2 at St. Rose of Lima Church, 504 S. Third St., officiated by Father Alexander Anderson. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
