Grace Lois Douglas, 76, of Festus died Aug. 31, 2019, at Crystal Oaks Nursing Center in Festus. Mrs. Douglas was a homemaker whose life revolved around her family. She enjoyed going to car shows and anything NHRA-related. She loved going shopping with her daughters, listening to music, watching Cardinals baseball and Western movies on TV and going bowling with her family and friends. She was born April 30, 1943, in St. Louis, the daughter of the late Edna (Barbeau) Barczewski and William L. Irvin.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years: Charles V. Douglas; three sons: Charles “Otto” (Shelly) Douglas, Denny Lee (Lea Ann) Douglas and Albert Ray (Kelly Lynn) Douglas, all of Festus; three daughters: Carolan Sue (Jason Morgan) Kaiser of Festus, Patricia Kaye “Trish” (David) Seiler of St. Louis and Teresa Marie (Joe) Svoboda of Festus; a brother: Arthur (Lynn) Irvin of Paducah, Ky.; 16 grandchildren: Lauren (fiance Troy Coureton) Douglas, Aaron (fiancee Helen Maschmeyer) Douglas, Tyler J (fiancee Hilary Nicholas) Douglas, Ashley (Gino) Duffner, Amberle Kaiser, Megan (Dave) Mueller, twins Dylan Morgan and Devon Morgan, Kyle Douglas, Ryley Douglas, Morgan Rickman, Ethan Seiler, Lauren Seiler, Damian Rickman, Aiden Moutray and Dominic Svoboda; a granddaughter-in-law: Sarah Douglas of Herculaneum; and seven great-grandchildren: Summer Mueller, Rebekah Mueller, Liam Mueller, Natalie Douglas, Oliver Douglas, Callea Douglas and Xander Morgan.
She was preceded in death by a grandson: Caleb Douglas.
Private family services and burial were held at the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks, officiated by the Rev. Scott Douglas. Memorials may be made to the Crystal Oaks Foundation. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus.
