Elden Frank Lee, 87, of Dittmer died June 11, 2019. Mr. Lee was a member of First Baptist Church of Cedar Hill and a U.S. Army veteran. He spent his life working on his farm. He also enjoyed spending time with his family.
Born Nov. 17, 1931, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Rita (Weber) and William “Earl” Lee.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years: Ruby “Carol” (Girardier) Lee; three children: Diane (Clifford) King of Dittmer, Darla (Rob Griesinger) Bilbro of Imperial and Debra (Michael) Schleper of Urbana; seven grandchildren: Jeffrey (Casey) King, Tiffany (Steven) Corio, Bethany Lee, Austin Bilbro, Sarah (Jacob West) Bilbro, Ryan Schleper and Mandy (Kyler Conly) Schleper; three great-grandchildren: Samantha Corio, Calvin Corio and Pamela West; a sister-in-law: Evelyn Lee; and many other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by four siblings: Wendell (Betty) Lee, Kenneth (Winifred) Lee, Donna (Oliver) Ziegler and Clarence Lee.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today, June 13, at First Baptist Church of Cedar Hill, 8265 Local Hillsboro Road. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, June 14, at the church. Burial will be in the Grubville Baptist Church Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Down Syndrome Association of St. Louis, 8531 Page Ave., Suite 120, St. Louis, 63114.
