Edgar W. “Ed” Holke, 78, of Lake Ozark died July 17, 2019, at Lakeside Meadows in Osage Beach. Mr. Holke was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and was retired from Ameren UE after many years of service. He was also a charter member of the High Ridge Elks Lodge and enjoyed spending his days outdoors bass fishing on the lake. He loved traveling, especially trips to Mexico, and enjoyed painting. More than anything, he loved spending time with family and friends. Born May 23, 1941, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Edgar Rowland and Clara (Schaumburg) Holke. He was preceded in death by his wife: Karen Holke.
He is survived by a daughter: Tara (Brian) Skinner of Lake Ozark; two grandchildren: Garrett Sutherland and Jaxson Skinner; a brother: Kenny Holke of High Ridge; his significant other: Sherry “Rosie” Yeager; a niece: Tracey Pingleton of Cedar Hill; a nephew: Ken Holke of High Ridge; and many other relatives and friends.
He also was preceded in death by a sister: Shirley.
Funeral services were held July 22 at Hedges-Scott Funeral Home in Osage Beach. Burial was in the Veterans Wall at the Lake Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Osage Beach. Memorials may be made to a veterans organization of the donor’s choice. Arrangements were under the direction of Hedges-Scott Funeral Home.
