Christopher David “Chip” Diebold, 26, of Arnold died Feb. 26, 2018, in High Ridge. Mr. Diebold was a veteran of the U.S. Army who served in Kanduhar, Afghanistan from 2012 to 2013. He also served with the Missouri National Guard since 2014. Born July 25, 1991, in St. Louis, he was the son of Brent (Deanna) Diebold of High Ridge and Kathie (John) O’Connor of Imperial.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his fiancee: Taylor Calvert of Hillsboro; a son, Blayne Matthew Calvert of Hillsboro; a daughter: Hazel Alexis Marie Diebold of Hillsboro; his grandparents: John (Debbie) Diebold of Arnold, Patricia Diebold of Arnold, Tom Seastrand of Imperial and Ursula Seastrand of Texas; his step-grandparents: Jimmie (Susie) Turner of De Soto, Paul Wiley of Hillsboro and Linda O’Connor of Arnold; two brothers: Owen Diebold of Barnhart and Jacob Fears of Festus; and a sister: Paige Diebold of Oakville.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Delbert and Hazel Sutterfield, Claude and Rita Diebold and Robert O’Connor.
A funeral service was held March 5 at Kutis Funeral Home in St. Louis County, officiated by Jimmie Turner. Burial was in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks.
