Calvin Thomas Sutton, 84, of Hillsboro died Aug. 28, 2019, at his home. Mr. Sutton worked for Meco Welding and River Cement. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force who served in the Korean War. Born Nov. 27, 1934, in Potosi, he was the son of the late Francis Angeline (Brawley) and John William Sutton.

He is survived by his wife: Laura Lucille (Shepard) Sutton, whom he married Dec. 20, 1959, in Potosi; two daughters: Mary Jane Page of Baytown, Texas and Dawn Marie (Dale) King of Hillsboro; a son: Michael David Sutton of De Soto; four grandsons: Jake Adam Page of Dallas, Morgan Page of Baytown, Jared (Codi) King of Hillsboro and Jordan (Kenzie) King of De Soto; and a sister: Dorothy “Wanda” De Clue of Farmington.

He was preceded in death by nine siblings: James E. Sutton, Roger W. Sutton, Lucy Crossland, Velma Winch, John Sutton Jr., Leaman Sutton, Della Mae Degonia, Frances M. Rasnic and Robert W. Sutton.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 29, at Robert D. Brown Funeral Home, 103 4th St., in Hillsboro. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 30, at the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in SunsetHillCemetery in Potosi. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. Arrangements are under the direction of Robert D. Brown Funeral Home.
