Betty Lou Coleman, 87, of Bloomsdale died Nov. 8, 2018, at her home. Mrs. Coleman was a former member of the Optimist Club and Red Hats Society. She enjoyed reading, bowling, shopping, gardening, traveling and crafts. She especially enjoyed her pets, Carly, Sadie and Boots. Born April 18, 1931, in Fredericktown, she was the daughter of the late Wright and Cressie (Doss) Eaton. She was preceded in death by her husband: Darriel F. Coleman.
He is survived by two sons: Duane Coleman of Bloomsdale and Rick (Debbie Bey) Coleman of Bloomsdale; three daughters: Kathy (Frank) Mueller of De Soto, Dianne (Guy) Henderson of Ste. Genevieve and Carolyn (Bob McCarroll) Coleman of Maryland; three grandchildren: Tara Roberts, Kelly (John) Geiler and Murphy McCarroll; and three great-grandchildren: Drew, Alex and Mady.
He was preceded in death by one daughter: Linda Coleman-Henson; one brother: Glenwood Eaton; and one sister: Rosemary Rion.
Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 11, at Mahn Twin City Chapel, 515 Collins Ave., in Festus. Visitation will continue from 9 a.m. until the funeral services at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 12, at Lebanon Baptist Church, 3007 Hwy. 61, in Bloomsdale, officiated by the Rev. Francis Roberts. Burial will be at Concord Cemetery in Bloomsdale. Memorials may be made to either St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the Humane Society of Missouri. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Twin City Chapel.
